Integrated Wealth Management to present financial seminar series
at Desert AIDS Project
(PALM SPRINGS, CA – April 15, 2010)
Integrated Wealth Management, who has made a $1 million commitment to Desert AIDS Project as Presenting Sponsor of the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards for the years 2009 through 2013, is offering a year-long financial planning seminar series for D.A.P.’s donors and supporters.
“I thought – why should IWM have all the fun here?” says CEO and President, Jim Casey, “This is our chance to show more people that you don’t have to be wealthy to leave a gift through D.A.P.’s Partners Forever legacy program in your estate plan. It’s a great way to help D.A.P. continue their great work in HIV/AIDS care, prevention, and advocacy for another 25 years.”
The first of these seminars “What happens when Harry (or Harriet) dies?” is a wake-up call to what can happen when we’re not prepared for the death of a partner. It will be held May 27 from 5:30 – 6:30 PM in the Library at Desert AIDS Project, 1695 N. Sunrise Way in Palm Springs. Not only is admission to all seminars free but Trio Restaurant and Circa 59 at Palm Springs Riviera Resort and Spa are both supporting D.A.P. by offering a 10% discount to all seminar attendees.
Future seminars are entitled “Increasing your income through legacy planning” on October 14, “Roth IRA: to convert or not to convert and what it means to your legacy plan” on December 9, “Perils and Pitfalls … the Seven Deadly Sins in estate planning for the LGBT community” on February 24, and “Retirement Risk Management: Protecting your nest egg from the cost of long-term care” on April 14.
Desert AIDS Project is the organization in our community where people living with HIV and AIDS can receive comprehensive support, including medical care, case management, and social services.
