How do I set up my AIDS Walk Team Webpage?
It's easy! Visit www.desertaidsproject.org/aidswalk and click on "REGISTER". Once you register, you can customize your webpage, send out team recruitment e-mails, set team goals, change your password, and more! As the days go by, you can monitor the success of your team by checking donation pledges totals and obtaining donation and team-recruitment reports.

Citizen Green Sign-In
When you register online you become a Citizen Green Walker, allowing you to avoid the lines at Desert AIDS Walk. Early registration for Citizen Green is Friday, October 24, 2008, 1:00 pm Ð 5:00 pm. At Desert AIDS Project, 1695 Sunrise Way, Palm Springs. Simply send a team representative to turn in donation pledges and collect special awards your team can wear proudly at the Walk. Any Team who can't make it to Early Sign-In can still avoid the long lines at Desert AIDS Walk by going to the special Citizen Green Sign-In area at the Walk.

What do I have to do as a Team Leader?
A Team Leader's role is to recruit, inspire, and motivate people to register as well as ask for and collect donation pledges. A Team Leader's first task is to distribute Desert AIDS Walk registration information to all potential Walkers as quickly as possible. After Walkers begin to register on your team, following up is the key to collecting donation pledges. For larger teams, it is recommended that the Team Leader work with a Co-Team Leader(s) or form an AIDS Walk committee.

What is a Matching Gift?
A matching gift is a donation made by a corporation or foundation on behalf of an employee. The donation matches the contribution made by that employee to a nonprofit organization. Encourage every Walker on your team to check their company's matching gift policy, so that you can raise the maximum amount of donation pledges.
