Registering Your Team | Organizing Your Team | Motivating Your Team
A team is any group of coworkers, fellow students, religious/civic organization members, friends, or family members that pre-register, raise money and walk together on the day of the Desert AIDS Walk, Saturday, October 25, 2008. Any team that registers
15 or more walkers by October 3, 2008 qualifies for
a Team Meeting Station at the Desert AIDS Walk.
Forming an AIDS Walk Team is a powerful morale builder for all types of companies, schools, and organizations. Desert AIDS Walk is a time for mean-ingful relationship building outside of the work or school environment; a great reason for friends and family groups to get together; a way to show support for those fighting HIV/AIDS; and a chance to walk in memory of loved ones.
What are a Team Leader's responsibilities?
A Team Leader's role is to recruit, inspire, and motivate people to register as well as raise funds. In order to promote team participation, a Team Leader's first task is to distribute AIDS Walk registration information to all potential Walkers as quickly as possible. After Walkers begin to register, following up is essential to maximizing funds raised for the clients of Desert AIDS Project.
